I'd just like to add to something I said a few Boards ago. I was replying to a post about the Grinch (which I hadn't and still haven't seen), for which I got flamed (as I had my facts wrong about the Whos, and I admit that). However, I have heard that in the film, the Grinch has a love interest, and there are also flashbacks to his troubled childhood to explain why he is so grouchy.
Fuck Hollywood and their sentimentalist shite! I don't know how the Widow Giesel can have approved the script - she musty have gone batty in her old age.
Once again, if I am misinformed, I apologise. Dr Suess was a very important part of my childhood as well, but I understand the film is aimed squarely at young Americans, so perhaps I shouldn't be annoyed about it, like I was at 101 Dalmatians (another pile of shit).
