Not sure, but in the movie, God simply makes a "blop" noise
that is all that I know
hope it helps
My idea as why Bethany could hear God, she is a descendant...maybe that helps her
: Greetings everyone. I am what is usually dubbed a "newbie", so feel free to bash me for my first post being directed mainly to the man who has almost single-handedly created a cult-following. I have read the summaries, so I do not believe that my following question has been asked(but if it has, feel free to poke me with various sharp objects). Anyways, on to the question:
: I have recently purchased the screenplay to Dogma, and upon reading it, I have become curious onto a certain matter. Near the end, Bethany asks God the question of our existence, and the Lord replies:"I have one word for you; just one. Plastics." While I found this to be quite hilarious, it arose the question of how Bethany was able to hear God without, for-lack-of-a-better-word, "exploding". I suppose that Bethany could have the ability to hear the true voice because she had been ressurected, meaning that she had at least at one time been dead(and as every Kevin Smith fan knows, the dead are able to converse with the late J.C.). Yet, if this was the case, wouldn't Silent Bob have died, considering he was nothing more than a mortal prophet(no offense to Lunchbox, he is after all, my favorite tv/film personality)? Perhaps these questions are the reason for the line cut, but if not, could you offer an explanation to a loyal fan(or perhaps a "kudos")?
: peace,
