That sounds like the moral.. and for once the chicks not the reason all
friends have been lost because of the relationship, this time its the man.

: ...As if you give a rat's ass what I think, but I just don't want to get
sucked into this whole "Kevin is God" trend. First off, I think you're
witty as hell, and do a great job of directing and writing, but dude, did
you INTEND to make fun of Chasing Amy in Chasing Amy?? I understand that
the flick was about a girl who was still trying to figure out her
sexuality, but that scene with Brodie and Holden and the little quiz
(Santa, Militant Lesbian, Friendly Lesbian, Easter Bunny) is a comment on
the movie itself. Here we have a BEAUTIFUL woman, who's a male-friendly,
non-threatening lesbian, and she shuts out all of her friends, and the
community she has become a part of for a comic book artist? I think the
only realistic thing about the movie was that it didn't have this sappy,
uber-happy ending like most flicks nowadays where everyone gets their way.
Holden gets screwed, not literally. He loses a friend (or at least we're
lead to believe they no longer keep in contact) and a good friend that he
loved with all of his heart. Other than that it was pretty lame. Critics
say that Mallrats was crap? The acting in CA was great, JLA deserved the
award(nomination?), but the plot was just a satire of itself.
