This question, right here, is what astounds me about some of you posters. Yes, there's a point to be made that criticizing a movie over the fact that it's B&W is indeed dumb. Yes, pretty much that entire post was sorta retarded. But the above question implies that "Kevin's work" is somehow beyond reproach, that no fault could possibly be found in any of it. And no, I'm not reading too much into it, because there's examples of this sort of attitude all over this board.
Yes, appreciate the quality of the man's art. Yes, defend it on its merits. But to put it in some kind of pedestal as the inviolable epitome of film? That's just silly, whether smith or scorcese or coppola or whoever.
