I liked Armaggeddon too, but not cause of the emotional crap. I liked it cause stuff got blown up. I'm the typical American guy. Plus I think that movie is really funny.
The Criterion DVD for the movie is good. The outtakes are great. The deleted scenes actually mention them noticing the big guns and kinda explain them. Kinda.
