Have you listend to or do you own On the Floor of the Boutique by Fatboy Slim. I love that album with a passion and since you DJ, i figured you probably know it if. oh, Radiohead is great, I checked it out. My girlfriend was mad because she has been telling me about them for a while, yet i didnt go out and buy an album until you recommended it.
Oh, do you have some really interesting DJ stories to share, or any ones you will share? I've only DJed once, it was interesting, here's my story:
I helped my friend Richie DJ a birthday party. I didn't do much, but became the center of attention. While Richie was talking, one of these little 13 year-old girls shouted, "What's the DJ's name?" I took the mike and said it was Richie, then someone shouted, "No, the hot one." They all laughed. Richie introduced me. Then there was "Do you know you're hot!?!" "What's your last name?" How old are you?" "You're so hot!" Throughout the night, different teeny-boppers were coming up to talk to me or try to get me to dance with them. I noticed two of them trying to go ask me to slow dance, but then turning around early on. It was so cute. There was this one girl who I know will be so hot in a few years. It's a shame I'm not younger and attached. She was so into me. First, she came up with a friend to request a song, but ran away when her friend said she thought I was hot. She came up again with the birthday girl, tripped, and nearly knocked over a plate. I had to laugh. She was so embarrassed. And then there was the time she told me her friends would pay her $20 to spank me. I was nice about it. Later, when I was dragged onto the dance floor, again, they tried to get me to dance with her. Even the birthday girl's mother pulled me out to the dance floor to dance.
Never before had I had such a self-esteem boost. Sure, they were young, but they still thought I was hot. One time, when I was leaving the dance floor, I got my ass slapped. I turned around, but couldn't tell which one of them did it. At least some people find me attractive. Okay, so it wasn't like a was DJing a club, but it was still enough to have Richie take me on as his full time partner for all teenybopper parties he gets hired to do. I still want to do a college party with him some time. I might go visit him at Hartford to do it. If i raise enough cash to get some equipment, I definitely want to DJ on my own.
