To be honest, I have always been a little skittish about fan letters and fan sites. I worked in a HUGE comics store (Jim Hanley's Universe for those that know)and was always embarassed FOR the creators that came in and got hounded. Evan Dorkin (MILK AND CHEESE, Pirate Corp$) worked with us and when his books blew up big time, he had to quit. Not b/c he didn't need to work there but b/c he was harassed all the time. As far as this applies to this site and the whole VA crew. Well I guess I'm a fanboy afterall. On some weird level that I'm sure you all can agree on, these movies just " speak " to me. I get all the jokes and know all the referances amd it's almost like being in a club where you have to know the password to get in. Sure people liked CHASING AMY.......but how many of them caught all the CLERKS nods? That's what I'm talking about. Kevin and all the others at VA from the A.D. to the gaffers have amde a special little universe that is unique in FILM as a whole. In a way that's why I'm a little saddened by the news of VA5 being the last one. Not that I begrudge Kevin any success that he may recieve ( And rightly deserved as well)but I would hate to see him start doing "STUDIO FILMS".
Now if it were the MAGE or Grendel movie on the other hand.............
