It's impossible not to like Bowie - the man has written some of the greatest music ever. If I'm listening to "Heroes", I close my eyes as he sings the chorus and feel all funny. That's what music should do to people - affect them physically. The first time a tune got me in the stomach was "A Hard Day's Night", and the next one was "Heart Of Glass".
I'm rambling, but I wish you luck with your music, and joy as well. I only did it at school, but playing one of my own songs in front of a crowd and hearing it applauded is something that will live with me forever.
