1.Stay in school.
2.Take More English Courses.
3.Buy a Screenwriting Program, obviously grammar is whipping your ass so don't bother trying to learn the format, just buy like WritePro or some shit.
4.Network in college, get involved in the television & radio aspect of your university's clubs. Be nice to everyone, you never know who has a family member in the industry.
5.If you live near a major film arts center like L.A. or N.Y. watch the local trade magazines such as Backstage and Filmmaker.
6.Work on some independent film crews.
7.Learn the craft.
8.Live life, and get a story to tell.
9.Make some friends with money.
There now if you can do all those things within the next six months, film and finish an indie, you might have a window of opportunity for distribution if the proposed and rumored threats of SAG,DGA, and WGA guilds strike.
