: Has anyone ever said to you that CHASING AMY is up there with ANNIE HALL as one of the greatest romantic comedies. I know you're probably thinking "What the Hell is ANNIE HALL." Well, in case if you don't know about it, it's a Woody Allen movie that came out the same year as STAR WARS. Now you're thinking " Oh great. He wants me to compare AMY with the movie that robbed STAR WARS of all it's Oscars." But hear me out. It was a very funny, insightful and a bit tragic comedy that, like AMY, didn't have the two main characters walking off into the sunset, but had a very touching and somewhat of a happy ending. Plus, it had a great sex-dialogue joke. This is from a scene where they're talking about some bullshit college course.
: Alvy (Woody Allen): What's the difference. It's all mental masturbation.
: Annie (Diane Keaton): Oh yeah. Well, finally we get to a subject you know something about.
: Alvy: Hey, don't knock masturbation. That's sex with someone I love.
: But still. Have you heard anyone say that CHASING AMY is the ANNIE HALL of the 90's or have learned that critics compareed the two together.
: You other guy's can answer this as well, if you want.
: P.S. In viewaskew5, shoot the scenes with Dante and Randal in B&W. CLERKS in color would be as bad as BATTLEFIELD EARTH. CLERKS will always be a B&W movie.
