: Just thought I'd share something for those who didn't know...Jack Herer, one of the pioneers in the hemp/marijuana movement suffered a stroke on July 14th at Condes Hempfest here in Oregon. I bring this up in here because of Kevin's movies and the loose references in them regarding buds & smoking. I'm guessing most of the people in here are cool with this even if they don't enjoying kicking back, firing one up and watching a Kevin Smith movie. I mean, alcohol is legal and it is one of the leading killers in America on the roads among other deaths (poisoning, rage etc)...If you can buy alcohol and buy cigarettes then you should be able to buy some nuggets (no, not the browns ones we produce in our toilets...those are freebies and wouldn't burn as well) as well, legally that is. You can't overdose on it and about the worst thing a person is gonna do is raid his/her neighbors fridge. It doesn't cause cancer and is now used in medicinal purposes in several states (including here).

: A quick story to share...I was with Jack early that afternoon before he suffered his stroke, got a chance to enjoy testing out his new double barrell pipe as he shared his stash with me and a few other lucky people (He even left me with a bowl of the "Jack"...Fucking awesome!!!). The earlier indulgence surely contributed to minimizing any damage to his heart (This is a fact, doctors agree. If you're having a heart attack, have someone give you an aspirin and a shotgun). The man is so accessible, I have hung out with him every year I've been to Condes Hempfest out here. Everyone here can appreciate how all the people at VA are so accessible, human I would call it. Not above anyone. Jack is very cool in this way.
: This man has been fighting for the rights of all of us here in the states, has even spent time in jail for it (Fortunately this time spent produced his book). For all of the people who have to constantly fight the fight to maintain, fighting the system, fighting 'the man' who's trying to keep you down.
