Legion went back in time and killed Professor Xavier before he was born, thusly erasing himself from existence and causing the X-Men to somehow not be able to stop Apocalypse from taking over the world in the future, and Bishop to be stranded in the 50's, helplessly watching the whole thing. Because the X-Men never stopped it, the (Cough Hack) Crystal had grown so massive as to engulf and destroy the universe and everyone died just as Wolverine slammed a claw through Sabretooth's skull.
The entire timeline changed, they fought Apocalypse, and Magneto used his powers to tear Apocalypse in two. The (Cough Hack) Crystal then destroyed everything in that timeline, but not before Bishop found some way to go back in time to the 50's and warn himself in time to stop Legion from wasting Chuck. This caused a massive identity crisis in the Bishop who ended up surviving the whole thing, and he begins to wonder if HE was actually the X-Man that killed Xavier in his own time and not Gambit as he had suspected.
Everything returns to normal, except for a massive accident that allows Dark Beast, Sugarman, Nemesis and X-Man to cross into the standard timeline.
