I've worked tons of clerk jobs. I recently walked out of a job I worked at for the last three years.
My opinion of people is that they'll complain. PERIOD! They only want what is cheap and they'll give you hell until they get it. If they don't, they'll leave and go to another store and do the same thing all over again.
Beer was my main problem. I quit because I got into a fist fight with a 17 year old BASTARD kid who thought he could pass is black friend's ID off as his. When the cops came down, they also cited me because I defended myself against him.
I say just hang in there. Don't let these fuckers get you down. Or quit. Don't let them bother you and brush them off Like Randel. Or hang in there and maybe you could write Clerks 2? (Just kidding.
