I, personally, tend to avoid public swimming facilities. Just thinking about them makes me shudder. I am truly sorry.
I went to a YMCA camp years ago....it wasn't too bad though, because I was in the older kids group and we had a cool fort in the woods and we got to do stuff, like going to the local boardwalk and make fun of tourists.
But I have grown and have been forced into the monotonious work-force world, but unless I work with my boss, I usually end up flying solo, which isn't too bad unless it's raining, because then the video store turns into a madhouse for mindless entertainment. Anything to keep themselves from thinking, I guess.
