It was Hotmail.com that the guy registered and i dont think that counts as a "small" business.. But you have to wonder HOW he did it, sure Microsoft forgot to re-register the name, but I am sure that this was through Network Soloutions, it has to be because when Hotmail started up that was the only way to register sites. Now Network Solutions has a TON of expired domain names that you cant even get to because they are trying to monopolize them, and they have stated themselves they have a 30 day grace period where no one can register the domain name, that is AT LEAST 30 days, there are some that have been dead for over a year and are still not released!

SO it makes you wonder how they let Joe Schmo Register Hotmails Domain name the day that is expired... All very interesting if you ask me. Personally I think NS thinks of themselves as the Microsoft of Domain names, but now that they are not the monopoly they are pissed off. Sad, very sad. anyone who registers with NS now should be shot. since they CLAIM to own every single domain name that is registered with them, thats right you dont own it they do.

Sorry If I went off on a tirade there :)

Chasing Domains

: that kind of stuff only works on "small businesses". There are laws in place that keep people from stealing domains of copyrighted businesses to gain money.
