I'm a tad out of touch with video games, so you'll have to forgive me...

Are we talking about the same series of wacky LA games that was started by Maniac Mansion and Zak McCracken?

There are few games as fun as Maniac Mansion. I remember fondly the days when I would crank up the ol' C64 and play Maniac Mansion into the wee hours. Few games capture the primal fun and tension of microwaving a live hamster in a house full of incestuous alien facilitators.
