It's unfortuately VERY doubtful that Criterion will do a recall...
Think about how much money it would cost them to do ANOTHER transfer, print up more DVD's and then send them out... not to mention hiring extra staff to deal with the temporary influx of returned DVD's...
all this for something that 99% of people don't even notice :(
Nevermind... I still enjoyed it when I thought it HAD been supervised by DP Dave, so guess it isn't any different now :)
- Does anyone actually know how badly framed this disc was? Does anyone have any screen shots of the VHS widescreen (which WAS supervised by DPDave I believe) and the DVD version to compare?
(Thinks) The only way Criterion could possibly do it would be if they called the guys up who sold them the supposedly 'supervised' transfer of Chasing Amy for selling them the wrong thing... THEN it would be on THERE shoulders and not Criterions (which I assume is really quite a small operation?)
They might even replace everyone's if this happened...
