He was pretty dramatic in CA. Although funny at times, he never took it to like a Jerry Lewis level of comedy. And seeing his face smashed over by the bus in Enema of the State was pretty dramatic.
The more I hear this suggestion, the more I am liking it, Lee would destroy that idea of Chevy and make the role his. Even though he has been in funny situations in the askew flicks, he has always been able to pull it off with a serious tone. Plus you know he is a pro actor and all...
