At the end of the day, of course, this reviewer is absolutely entitled to his opinion. After all, he is trying to defend the word as it exists (albeit so literally that the human condition doesn't seem to figure into his belief-structure). Whilst the psycho-analytical amongst us would like to pop him on a petri dish to see what's doing, this is about as free a country as you can hope for (the U.K. falls second; I'm sorry, but it does) and irk many of u s as it might, this fella DOES have an audience that he's preaching to.
Face it, there are folks out there who are so concerned with their "little ones" falling into this regime of thought, that the writer is (and surely feels) that he's doing his audience a favor.
That any of us would want this guy shot for publishing this opinion (far, far away from this site, it must be said; it's only here 'cause one of us brought it to the attention of the rest)...well, what does that say about us?
Exactly what kind of country would you prefer we live in, fellow users? One were a guy who loves Christ to that extent is silenced? One where he would be shot for finding a work of art such as "DOGMA" genuinely offensive?
Love this guy 'cause he loves Christ and God. Pity him that he turns tail from a flick like "DOGMA" after a mere thirty-eight minutes (wonder if he really timed that...it'd be fun to discover what was happening on-screen when he booked outta there)...
Tolerate him that he expresses his opinion in this (mostly) democratic union of ours...
And, it goes without saying, should he shoot some woman's doctor over a belief...then you should take him down like a rabid dog...of course that's just my opinion etc. etc.
