A somewhat anal-retentive question, but how come it's Columbia/TriStar video releasing DOGMA on tape and DVD? I know years back, when Lions' Gate was still Cinepix Film Properties, they licensed some titles to them like THE PILLOW BOOK and THE DAYTRIPPERS. However, seeing the bulk of Lions' Gate titles going to Universal's home video arm made me have visions of some DOGMA/MALLRATS synergy, and one of their terrific "Collector's Editions" being done for it. Thankfully, the Torch lady is doing that collector's item, but why this one-shot pickup?
(And for that matter, where were their balls when DOGMA needed a studio pickup? It seems to me they're cashing in rather nicely on someone's else's toil and expense on the theatrical end.)
