kevin,

from reading your stuff and hearing the buzz that gets created about you both good and bad I figured you were probobly the only person that could give me a really good answer to a question i have right now.

right now i am working in the computer industry. for now well just say "interactive entertainment" as to not violate any contracts, but you get the picture. i am relatively new to this business as i was pretty much a hardware guy in the past. i got this new job by helping a company out so well that they offered me a position. so i ended up packing up my stuff and moving to another state to take this position and open a new chapter in my life.

so anyway, i get to this new place to start this little voyage only to find out it really isnt what i thought it was going to be. lots of politics, jealosy regarding how i got the position (regardless of the fact that i have excellent skills), irritable creative people, and more politics in general.

so now to my question. from looking at your life thus far one could assume you have had a lot of politics, jealousy, and irritable creative people in your life. how do you deal with it? right now i want to quit dispite the fact that i love being creative. i mean where else can i help a bunch of really creative people tell a story that not only the target audience can enjoy, but interact with. how cool is that? but because im constantly being disrespected, im not sure if i should just give it up because of this daily mess i call work. its hard when people are trying to work against you to better themselves. you ever run into this? im finding myself at a loss and really could use a little helpful advice. ive just never been in an environment like that before. im hoping you can share a little industry wisdom and "help a brother out" =)

thanks

p.s.
i hope the drama of people giving you crap (like abc) comes to an end for you soon. ive dug all your stuff for a while (even though i never really come here) and want to end with thanks for keeping me entertained, youve done a good job.
