I have been a fan of Kevin Smith's since Clerks. I hated Mallrats; Chasing Amy fulfilled every man's fantasy. However, Dogma, was the most hilarious movie I have ever seen! I was born Catholic (without my permission), christened Catholic (without my permission), attended Catholic schools (without my permission), and was confirmed as a Catholic (without my permission).

The reason that I placed "Firesign Theatre" as my subject, is because I would like to make Kevin Smith aware of these guys. They all held Ph.d's, yet chose to make an album that they obviously knew would not sell. Their main character was a private detective named "Nick Danger". His evil nemesis was named "Rocky Rococo". Rocky's cohorts were so devious that they ate things like "sleepy joes", or "red beans and reds". Little did they know that this album would become a cult classic amongst intelligent people.

Well, I guess that's my point. I would think that since you were "bumped" by ABC, you know that you are not appealing to the mass public. Yaaay for that! While I am sorry that I won't have the option of seeing your work on television; I assume that you know what this means. I mean, I kind of didn't want to see it on television, because I thought it would be bastardized. Therefore, if their is a God, your work will become a cult classic. If you do want to become mainstream, please ignore this missive!

Please do try to find any, and all albums by Firesign Theatre. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Debbie
