It is a well known fact that Kevin doesn't come up with the majority of the material in his movies. He simply purchases Mad Lips books, fills in the blanks with adjectives, nouns, and verbs, and then he ships it off to Miramax. So, I guess the answer to question is that Kevin's inspiration is Mad Lips.

Kevin is able to come up with that "incredible stuff" to fill in the blanks because he sold his soul to Satan in exchange for a mildly successful career in movies as a quasi-star director and a snickers bar.
