Hey Kevin,
Okay, I know that the many sources of inspiration and influence for DOGMA include the comedy stylings of Kinison and Carlin, your own catholic upbringing and struggles with faith, the writings of Cervantes, Milton, Dante etc., and of course certain graphic novels.
As a novice when it comes to comic books, I'm not too sure of the specifics of the profession, but I did notice that you cited Matt Wagner, Neil Gaiman, and Grant Morrison specifically as sources of influence and inspiration, and attributed credit to MAGE and SANDMAN.
I was wondering what other works and people in the comic industry acted as sources of influence and inspirations for DOGMA and what about these works and comic authors attracted you so much that you felt the need to draw inspiration from them, or in other words, why these comics and writers as opposed to others? Thanks for your time.
