yeah, i think the book came out before (read an article that said Nick Hornby was annoyed with people who were pissed off because it was set in Chicago vice England and Americanized... "[as if the only reason the book was any good was because they recognized the place names]", but that wasn't quite what i was getting at.
but if nobody else saw it, then i'm probably just reading too much into it. still, it is just about the only decent movie out.
