I know Stan Lee's done some great stuff and was one of the originals, but there's no way he is the best writer/creator out ever (I may be jumping to conclusions here, it's just that I assumed you liked him best because of Mallrats). Frank Miller is without a doubt a better writer. Any Batman series he wrote is possibly the best series out there, and Sin City is just positively wonderful. He spends more time on the development of the characters, rather than coming up with a unique concept, then sacrificing development for 'lots of cool fighting and stuff'. Lee just can't stack up.
