Unless you can convince me of a reason that I DON'T want the Special Edition, which you absolutely did not, then you can't come up with a reason for me to buy 2 DVDs of the same frickin' movie within a couple months of each other. No way, no how.
And am I the only person on this board who can appreciate a film after seeing deleted scenes?! Sure there are a couple of films that I think the film would work better with them, but I manage to get by without losing even the slightest bit of appreciation for the final version of the film.
