: I just finised watching Dogma on video (I work in a video store so I get to see the movies b4 we rent them to customers, Randal is my hero but that will be discussed at a later date) I put it in the VCR not knowing what to expect. I knew the "problems" DOGMA was having and the negative attention it was getting. So I took a deep breath and pressed play. I LOVE all of Mr. Smith's other flicks (CLERKS being a personal favorite) so DOGMA had that going for it. But I wasn't to sure how the film was going to effect my spiritual IDEAS. Well I think you can tell my use of the word IDEA how I felt. It was WITH OUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST shock I ever got. I LOVED IT!! It made me open my eyes about my faith. I am not Catholic so the low blows made me laugh. But the thing that got to me the most was the fact that I found the movie spiritually uplifting--how odd is that?? All of my ideas were expressed. I get a lot of greif from my peers for having such a strong faith. DOGMA was just plain amazing. The way that things were explained by Chris Rock of all people made me say "THANK YOU SOME ONE GETS IT!!" I am still a little over whelmed by the whole thing so I am sure I don't make a lot of sense right now. I will have to come by later and expalin better and go into detail why Randal is my HERO!!!
