Dear Kevin Smith,
I worked as a security guard in a mall in upstate New York for 6 years.
My friends and i love your movies. Clerks really hit home for some of us reminding us of all the insane things we've done over the years while working there. We all hated our jobs and hated being there but we would show up anyway never knowing what to expect. Over the years we have accumulated many crazy events which we were "happily" apart of. Who were we going to have sex with and where. Working at the mall the possibilities were astounding. Some of the conversations and people that we've seen come and go were unreal in themselves. The mall owner was a man that was in concentration camps as a child. Granted it's horrible but he treats people like the whole world owes him. Unless he wanted something from someone he won't have anything to do with them. You could say hello in passing and not be acknowledged. I don't work there anymore. "thank god" But, it was an experience that i'll remember always and it gives my friends and i and i many stories to share with people we meet over the years. I think everyone hated that mall but loved the soap opera that continued on a daily basis. My name is Peter and i know you have your own stories in your head but you might be interested in these. My friends and i always laughed and said we would write you for a movie called " Guards". Well, thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Sargenthammer
