: As far as the Clerks stuff goes, dunno. Well, actually, we never hear the word Pringles, or see it either. Yes, it's obviously a Pringles can, but we don't see it. A better question would be the constant reference to Gatorade, but that prolly qualifies as pop culture, since we never see a bottle.
I think they do say pringles.. and i was on a shoot and even a small glad wrap dispenser had to have its name hidden from the camera view. And if they can say the name ( as in Gatorade )why the hell didnt people ask for specific types of cigarettes.. can i have some cigarettes.. "ahh what kind?"
