My meeting with Lee

Well, I finally managed to meet someone who made me so starstruck (read act like a complete moron)....This weekend at the Directors' Guild in Hollywood I met Jason Lee.

I was in the crowded lobby getting ready to attend a screening for the festival when I saw him walk by. I went up to him (He's a lot taller than I ever realized and oh so beautiful....Mussed hair, no beard) and said:

KELLEY
Are you Jason Lee?

LEE
Yes.

KELLEY
I love your work. I've seen all
your movies, even "Mumford," and you are so
amazing. I actually met Kevin about a month ago,
and there's this web board, and I promised I'd get
a picture, and, well, could I have a picture with
you?

LEE
Right now?

KELLEY
Please.

LEE
Yeah, O.K., sure.

Now at this point, I realize there's no one around to take the pic, so he takes my camera from me and says (while putting his arm around me):

LEE
I'm really good at this....

and proceeds to take a picture of the both of us. He gave me back my camera and said "Bye" and that was it. I thought that was so cool. I feel bad that I acted like such an idiot, but it was such an unexpected thing, and as Rena knows, he's my favorite dude in the Askewniverse. I hope the picture turns out O.K.

On a side note, I saw Joey Lauren Adams, as she was there for the premiere of "Bruno" which was directed by Shirley MacLaine. She's really pretty in person and played a vampy blonde (very well) who frequents bingo parlors in the picture.

I also picked up an editor/producer from NYC with a film at the festival after I walked up to him and told him how amazingly attractive he was.

All in all, it was a good weekend.
