What it is Kev,

Kevin Michael Jones here to cheer you up about all this ABC, bad Magnolia press bullshit. I am a writer myself, and am working on scripts now in my last year at Morehouse College down in Atlanta (who brought the film world Spike Lee and Samuel L. Jackson) and I thought I would share something with you and your homies to ponder. For every corrupted conglomerate that fucks you in the future, just remember at least one time your work inspired at least one intelligent debate that actually got me a short lived job for a little bullshit underground hip hop magazine down here in ATL. (I know intelligent and Atlanta in the same sentence must be hard to fathom since John Rocker sharied his wealth of knowledge with the world but trust me)

About a year ago, in a discussion about movies with a group of friends, Chasing Amy (one of my favorite films) came up. I was one of the few in the room who had seen it (sorry Kev, brothers down here ain't hip to you like they should be, but I'm working on that) and after we joked about it I posed this question to my homeboys:
WOULD YOU RATHER YOUR GIRL HAVE SLEPT WITH 25 DUDES BY THE TIME SHE'S 21, OR ONLY HAVE SLEPT WITH 7 DUDES BY THE TIME SHE WAS 21. BUT 6 OF THOSE 7 DUDES FUCKED HER IN TWO SEPARATE 3 MAN TRAINS?

Man you know all them fools picked the broad who boned 25 dudes the time she was 21. I was the only one who rather of had the choo-choo girl. They jumped on my case like I was Jesse Helms at an NAACP meeting man. They said the girl was too fucked up because she got railroaded on two different occassions, but I always attributed some one being a slut if they boned a large quantity of people, not if they just got hella freaky a couple of times. But my friends could feel me, so I decided to poll people around my campus and overwhelmingly guys chose the the girl who boned 25 dudes. I wrote an article about it (and the defended the Amtrak girl) and people in my circle still furiously debate issue whenever it comes up. Some even ask it of women to see which they think is the nastier chick. I'm looking for the girl who can sympathize with the train track queen. I know she's out there somewhere. Anyway, I just wanted to give you something to think about and smile. ABC never provoked an interesting debate in my friends other than how the fuck did Family Matters and Full House stay on the air for so fucking long. So, take solace in the fact that they may have the monetary power, but you have the power to influence peoples minds.

Peace.
KMJ
