I hate when they jockey things like that. Brisco was canceled. It fell into the same trap that Clerks is in.
Critically acclaimed, recieved Emmys, great actors, lots of network support, and it still pulled in absolutely zero watchers. I loved it, everyone I knew loved it (about 350 people back then, about my whole High School), but the teenage viewer's opinion on the matter weighs not, so it got canceled about the same time the X-Files started.
The Tick got picked up by Comedy Central around the same time as the Critic did. Both were good shows that network tv wouldn't support any longer because the Nielsen families wouldn't watch them.
