: There are petition campaigns to get Lucas Film to release the Star Wars movies on DVD without extras since Lucas said he won't bother with DVD SE's until after he finishes Episode 3. I certainly had no intention of buying the early Dogma DVD anyway.

With Dogma, we know there will be a SE in the near foreseable future. There is nothing mysterious or unknown about the film's future. The movies only been in existence for a few short months, waiting a few more instead of buying two versions within a year of release seems reasonable.

Star Wars on the other hand, we will supposedly have to wait at least five more years for. As much as I hate buying multiple copies of things, I and lots of folks like me, would much rather be able to enjoy the SW films in DVD quality now, then have to wait five more years watching VHS.

Just my opinion, but not a unsupported one,

Steve
