When the Dogma DVD was announced I pre-ordered on online website
to get the DVD at a whopping $14.99 (I was thinking at the time that
the DVD would be the SE), but this week when they announced the
"vanilla" DVD would be released now, and the SE 5 months later, I
had to cancel my order (actually, I just removed Dogma from the
order since I used the same order to purchase the Amy DVD).
Just wondering if anyone else had the same experience, I know it
was probably my own fault for not waiting for details to be ironed out,
I was just hoping that my $14.99 DVD (which is a great price
even for a non-SE DVD) would have all the bang of the
Mallrats DVD. Hopefully no one filched me out of monies due to the
cancelled item. I'd much rather wait for a polished Dogma SE DVD than
purchase a low quality rushed DVD, and can see why there are 2 versions because the film is more "mainstream" than others. When I watched it in the theatres there were times when I was the only person in the theatre busting a nut laughing, and me and others who are familiar with the previous movies would get the jokes and recognize the cameos from other characters from the askew-niverse.
