I don't think this has been reported yet. If so, my bad.

The latest issue of Comics Scene (labeled Comics Scene 2000)feature sketches and designs from the late and not-always-so-lamented 'Superman Lives/reborn' movie, directed by Tim Burton. We see various designs of Brainiac's skull ship, Superman in his black outfit dangling off some building and some crazy looking monster things.

It even has a little blurb from Burton about what exactly happened. From the way it sounded the WB were just pricks about the whole thing and were more concerned about selling Happy Meals then making a good movie. Pretty much similar things that our man Kevin's encountered.

The sketches were really nice, actually. In an ideal world Kevin and Burton would have hammered out a visually stunning movie with a killer story and have gotten Bruce Campbell to play Superman. Cage, while he could be interesting, just isn't the ideal choice.

That's all.

Chris
