Another thing that seems irrational is that John Williams didn't get a nomination for The Phantom Menace. He's already nominated for Angela's Ashes, according to Knowles' source, but still, The Phantom Menace was a pretty good score. It also seems a bit convoluted that they would narrow the choices down to 7 and then 5. You may be on to something here. You'll make a good junior detective someday.

: Didn't the Academy change the music category so as to seperate "dramatic" scores from "comedy" scores (I'm guessing because Disney's animated musicals ended up winning year after year in the music category)? If that's the case, what's TOY STORY 2 doing on the music score list, and why didn't they post the seperate music lists? This seems wrong to me.
