Mallrats was dum fun. Let it be, and get you onto something serious sooner, rather than later. Do a courtroom drama. I think it'd be great to see your script teamed up with someone more visual, to be honest. I've always dug and supported your visual style, but it's something to think about. You & Rodriguez have been a dream team for years. It's time to see something happen.
Or, hell, write & direct a romantic comedy with a different, but equally fresh, sense of humor than Amy. You can make it happen, man. You are one of Scorsese's people.
