'Parrently, he was, as the kids say, "stoned" during much of the shoot time... One may infer that there was a disconnect between his "seriousness" and the rest of the cast's... (Serious in terms of commitment to the film.)
Now, I'm sure that *THOSE INVOLVED* with Mallrats must have legitimate reason for griping, or have a little bit of a chip on the old shoulder.. However, the unabashed HATRED of the poor guy on the part of people who never met the dude is a little creepy, if you ask me.
You ever work on a play with someone? Sometimes you don't get along, or somebody rubs you the wrong way (or you them), or maybe they are going thru an "asshole" period in their life.I know I've been through my share. Does not mean they suck as a person 24-7, for the rest of their lives, and deserve clods of shit hurled at them forever...
Kevin & London did not jibe, if I read the tea leaves correctly. That's between the two of them, I think. I never met the guy, and don't like or dislike him.
I mean, he neither anally raped my mother, nor did he pour sugar into my gas-tank. I thought he was OK in the flick... The role called for a teeny-pretty-boy-80s-type-protagonist. I thought he fit the bill. how professional or not he was on the set is, frankly, between his director & him.
: Seems like nobody want's to see the return of Jeremy London. Granted, I wouldn't miss the 'Party of Five' dork, but why does everyone seem to hate him. What are the odds he would even come back anyway?
