Mallrats 2 vs. Clerks 2?

Mallrats 2...Hearing this brings a tear to my eye and joy to my heart.

This, to me, is the subject better suited to a feature length sequel. While a cartoon would be a much more appropriate forum for continuing the Clerks adventures.

The Clerks series seems to be a more open-ended style, perfect for a weekly series while Mallrats had a definite sense of closure ready to be either left alone or broken back open for one more trip to the mall.

One question: Would this replace the proposed comic sequel and if so, would the story still be "Die Hard in the Mall" or something brand new?
