I'm hoping someone, anyone, can help me with this question. I noticed that the three angels in Dogma (not any other character or lesser diety of any type) *always*, in every scene, wore long black trenchcoats with the hoods of their sweatshirts draped across their shoulders. Bob didn't even sport the look this time. Is there any signifigance to that? Being tragically poorly read for someone who claims to be literate, I have read neither Paradise Lost or even the Bible. Is there some obvious reference to one or more of these pieces of literature that the hoods are alluding to? Anyone with any insights please respond.
