Ok... I had to say it...
I had no idea Alanis is so attractive! I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised -- my only other exposure to her (image, of course, I've never met her :( ) is You Can't Do That on Television and very, very stylized music videos.
Seeing her just enjoying herself was an eye opener -- she has a very expressive face, and intelligent eyes. Wow!
Ok -- enough gushing. What a phenomenal film. I expected a good film, but wasn't prepared for what I saw. Not to in any way diminish the other bevy of actors who have had the privilege to do so, but Matt Damon's delivery of classic (and well loved, by me at least) Kevin dialogue in the first few minutes is just unbelievable.
An actor friend who saw the flick with me expressed his opinion that the look on Ben's face when he faces God makes that scene one of the most touching he's seen in recent times.
There's not enough time to say what wonderful performances everyone turned in. Unbelievable. The disclaimer even rocked.
Should you happen to stumble across this, Kevin, thanks for the phenomenal film.
And if you're not Kevin, go see Dogma!
