Hey There Kevin Smith,
Just had a few comments followed by questions for you about Dogma and non-Dogma issues.
Let me first say I have not yet seen Dogma, but plan on doing so. I'm actually Mormon and am not supposed to see R-rated movies. Yours is an exception. I, once in a while and after much research, see an R-rated film that seems worthy enough. Yours is one of these exceptions.
I'd also like to offer support in standing up against all these critics of Dogma. You have the Catholics on one side criticizing Dogma as being anti-faith, and Atheists criticizing it as pro-faith. Don't worry though, you have just as many, if not more, supporters.
Your work on Daredevil was superb. It got me back into comics again, and into Daredevil. It's one of the best series I'm reading now, and the first issue I have signed by you, Joe, and Jimmy, is my most prized possesion.
Lastly, I'd like to thank you for being an inspiration. Until Daredevil, and meeting you at a comic convention in Oakland, being a screenwriter/director/comic writer was in the back of my head. You helped set this idea in motion.
Gee, I guess I don't have any questions, just comments. I wouldv'e snet this message directly to you, but I didn't know how. So give me an e-mail back. You're a cool guy, Kevin Smith, don't let all these people shaking you from something that is much needed in film today: God. You're doing a good thing for Him, and I'm sure He appreciates it. Keep in contact.
