The first showing I tried to see in Boston was so full they kicked us out (sitting on the floor, fire hazard, blah blah blah). So I got to see everything up to the title, then had to wait over 3 hours to see the rest of the movie - talk about a tease! But I finally did get to see it at a midnight showing out in the suburbs (Revere) - with a packed house.
And I have to say, I got the same chills when the title flashed on screen that I got seeing the Lucasfilm logo during Episode 1. Just to give you an idea. . . the raucous applause helped, too.
They absolutely loved it. I missed a lot of follow-up lines because the laughter drowned them out. And about a dozen of them stuck around for ALL the credits. . . those people have obviously been around. Which leads me to wonder if the majority of the crowd were new to Smith films - cause anybody who has seen any of the trilogy would know to stick around.
Which brings me to my question - are the closing credits (thanks, etc.) available anywhere except by watching the movie? Cause they scrolled by WAY too fast, and projectionists don't always know to let the damn thing run until the end. Ours got shut off, but my friend did see Clerks 2 sliding up the wall. But I did miss the majority of the personal thanks (in fact, the only ones I could make out were Affleck, Jenny, and Harley). So I will be seeing it again, but I'm guessin' I still won't be able to catch ALL of them. If anyone could point me in the right direction to get them all, I'd be much obliged.
