I just want to express my gratitude to Kevin Smith. I love everyone of his movies, and believe that he speaks for all in our generation. Dogma completely moved me. I have had a great problem with faith and especially organized religion. I have encountered many of the same obstacles, (albeit, not quite on such a national and large scale) towards dealing with my faith or lacking therof. I would ask how could anyone of reasonable intelligence who has read the Bible actually take what it says seriously. I thought the Bible had fascinating stories that were very intelligent and exciting, but that they really shouldn't be taken as anymore than that. It practically contradicted itself! After seeing Dogma, I was left with the realization that the Bible isn't the be all and end all of faith, but that it is the beginning of faith. You must realize that, aside from Christ, these were ordinary people, put in extraordinary situations.
