Roger Ebert gave a big thumbs up on the show last night, but his co-host (who is very religious) didn't like it. She claimed it was boring and offensive. Roger thought different. He stated that they could sit around and talk about the film for three hours, which is more they can say for most films.
Seeing it Friday night, I LOVED it. Going again tonight. I have heard from TWO different people (who are NOT in any way religious folk) that coming out of it, they were INSPIRED to become Christian!
As I've stated, I loved it. It had a whole different style and look to it, very different than the other films. I was just disappointed that the Fat Albert scene was cut, as it makes no sense in the strip club to see Jay and Bob are suddenly hanging out with the gang, wearing their bandanas. That would have cracked up audiences. Hopefully there'll be an uncut DVD on the horizon...
