Saw Dogma this weekend, and wow! what a quick 2+ hours. From the initial disclaimers, to the ending, i was in stitches. While i can see the controversy, i really didn't think that the message was so awful, just the opposite. Even with me being jewish, i saw that the message was really really good (i.e. what you worship is not as important as just having faith; someone correct me if I missed something). just some more random thoughts:

Alanis as God: Before the movie, i didn't think that she could do it, but as usual, i was wrong. From the dirty look she gave Metatron when he used her dress to clean up to the nose tweak, it was good™.

Jay & Silent Bob: Awesome performance. OMG, even though Kevin has less than 5 lines (make memorizing the script a little easier, huh?) the facial expressions made up for that twice over. Just look on his face when Metatron revealed Jay's secrets was priceless, not to mention the 'no ticket' line; had me laughing out loud.

Alan Rickman as Metatron: good choice. played the whole 'the only reason i am even talking to you is because i have to' bit to a "T"

Ben and Matt: good interplay as usual. The whole 'Mooby, Inc.' scene was priceless. superb acting. also like the way Bartleby ran the whole show all along.

I could go on, but time is short. All in all, a truly awesome flick. Probably one of the few movie that i'll see again in the theatre.

p.s. Harley didn't like the bath? that's suprising, my kid loves baths to death. hmm....anyway, what kind of father would i be if i didn't show off the kid....
