Ahoy mateys. I've been following this stuff for a while, but haven't ever
done anything on the board before, so bear with me. I saw Dogma a coupla times over the weekend and just wanted to thank Kevin for making such a bloody good movie that spoke to me personally. I've been a Christian my entire life (my dad is a pastor) and have always had trouble with the role that traditional church bureocracy plays in worshiping God and doing His/Her will. When I see churches with chandaliers that could feed the homeless of Memphis for a month, I question where their values lie. So from another fellow who believes entirely in God and Jesus and all that good stuff, I wanted to thank Kevin for voicing what I think is a very common concern in such an entertaining manner. It goes beyond that, however. As I said, I've been going to church a long time and I've heard some helluva good sermons, but I think that some parts in Dogma were equally enlightening as some of the best of them. In particular, themes dealing with treating faith as a burden instead of a blessing and God's infinite patience with us are important messages that were expressed very well. So thanks again, and even though you passed on the whole priest thing, you still manage to spread the Word in a brilliant fashion. Next time, don't pass up filming opportunities in Memphis-it'd be awesome to have you and.

Oh yeah, the movie was awesome, probably my favorite of all time.
