How each of us sees that ending differently ... in essence a true piece of art, open to interpretation based on your own belief system ... much like a piece of art hanging in a gallery ... I think this discussion is the highest compliment that you could pay Kevin.

For the record, I see God as benevolent, and when Bart said "thank-you" I saw relief in his eyes when she "forgave him" ... ergo following the doctrine of that Catholice Dogma that caused the problem to begin with ... attrition through forgiveness because God is all-caring, all-knowing of the frailties of man (or in this case, angels) ... and Bart couldn't go to Heaven (which was his original intention) without having someone else kill him ... ergo God saved him from the sin of suicide, which, if he stood and waited for the police to arrive, could be derived as such.

Just my two cents.
