I don't think they got into heaven because God did decree that they would never reenter. Which was pretty much a major part of the plot of the entire movie. Also, even if they were sorry and forgiven, they tried to take on The Man and they can't go unpunished for that.
And, if Bartleby is a watcher and knew all about people, how come he didn't know who Bethany was until she told him?
This one I don't really have an answer for.
